MaMaMa
New project by Elliot Diener (at the origin of the Pain Surprises label and the Petit Prince project), the name MaMaMa is located somewhere between the italian mother (Mama) and the alsatian grandmother (Mamema), and repeats its single syllable three times to say the importance of resonances (whether familial, geographical or metaphysical) in indie pop music. MaMaMa unveils “The Wolf Becomes a Bird”, the first single from its album coming in early 2024, and explores the inner transformations linked to changes in context and crucial life decisions. The arrangement is rich and nuanced, combining near and far instruments to create a complex sonic dimension. The text, for its part, skillfully juggles between deeply personal messages and universal themes.
